You’ve tried the diets, therapy, books, intuitive eating.
Perhaps you’ve even tried somatic work, hypnosis, feeling your feelings.
And yet, nothing has quite done the job.
Your emotions still feel overwhelming.
The urges to eat still keep winning.
Your inner critic and insecurity are still so loud.
Food still feels like the only real option to feel better.
Hi love, before we dive any deeper, let me introduce myself… I’m Lily.
I’m a Somatic, Subconscious and Inner Child Healing Practitioner (BSc), and Nutritionist (MSc). I work with international clients to heal emotional eating at the true root.
First and foremost, I’m a person who emotionally binge ate for 15 years (alongside various clinical eating disorders, including bulimia), struggled with crippling insecurity, and devoted herself to finding a way out.
I know what it’s like to wake up inflamed, bloated, and feeling immense shame. I’m beyond familiar with the endless broken promises of “never again”. I understand inside and out what it takes to end escapism. And, I know the beauty on the other side.
To me, the process of healing emotional eating is a homecoming.
It requires you to create a life, and experience of being you that you simply don’t want to escape. And that’s where this mentorship comes in.
Client Love Notes
At the root of your emotional eating are the beliefs you hold about yourself.
Beliefs you developed in childhood, like:
“I'm not good enough.”
“I can't do it.”
“I'm too much.”
“I'm bad.”
“I'm unlovable.”
These beliefs form the way you view yourself. They create the lens through which you interpret life.
When a boss criticises you, a partner makes a comment, or a friend cancels plans, these old beliefs get activated.
Your system goes into overdrive.
The internal noise gets louder.
Self doubt, anxiety and insecurity creep in.
Emotion may begin to rise.
At times, you might not even be aware of what you're escaping, because the urge to eat is such an effective strategy at pulling your attention away from the very thoughts and feelings you're trying to get away from.
You experience this as…
You’re driving home from work, leaving the social event, or winding down for the evening and all you can think about is the food you’re going to eat.
Perhaps you stop at the food shop, perhaps you head straight to the food cupboard.
Before long, you’re melting onto the sofa, feeling a strange mix of relief and excitement as you press play on your comfort show, and eat, watch, scroll for the rest of the evening.
You make promises of “never again”. You hate the inflammation. The guilt and shame that always kicks in.
You’re responsible in other areas of life.
You’re successful. You care for yourself.
You want so much more for yourself.
And yet the urge to escape just keeps winning.
If you were to get curious and compassionately turn inwards when the urge hits, you'd begin to notice the beliefs that have been driving your desire to eat.
You’d also notice that the experience of being you in those moments is highly uncomfortable.
There are physical sensations like tension, tightness, anxiety, heaviness.
And without another option to shift your state, food feels like the only choice.
Your urges to eat aren’t out to get you.
They’re a subconscious nervous system strategy to keep you safe from the emotions and discomfort that hits in the moments those old beliefs are active.
There’s no shame in it.
And there is a way out.
The common advice when healing emotional eating is simply to get better at ‘feeling your feelings’.
More sophisticated approaches focus on healing what drives those feelings in the first place.
While that’s a beautiful foundation, it isn’t the whole picture, and it isn’t going to give you the freedom from emotional eating and the experience of being you that you truly desire.
We do create that foundation within this mentorship.
You’ll expand your capacity to be with yourself without escaping, with somatic work.
You’ll discover an entirely new relationship with your emotions, minus the overwhelm and the endless feeling.
You’ll learn to shift your state without food and create your days in ways that genuinely serve you and feel good.
You’ll transform your relationship with yourself and the beliefs you’ve spent so long escaping through subconscious and inner child healing.
And yet, we won’t stop there.
The outcome of this work isn’t endless healing, it’s freedom.
The core difference of this mentorship:
In this mentorship you’ll learn to see through the thoughts and beliefs that have been driving your urges to eat, low self worth and overwhelming emotions all this time.
When you no longer mistake those beliefs for the truth of who you are, you no longer need to escape them.
This is a shift from your conditioned, survival self to your true self.
It’s a shift that ripples into all areas of life.
It’s where modern neuroscience and ancient spiritual teachings overlap.
It’s the foundation of freedom from emotional eating. And it’s what this mentorship is here to guide you through.
